Current Labs & Groups

Computational Symmetry - We are develping techniques for applying computational symmetry (symmetry detection, representation, and reasoning) in computer vision, graphics and robotics.
Computer Graphics Lab - Modeling, animation, and rendering of 3-D scenes

Current Projects

Image De-fencing - e introduce a novel image segmentation algorithm that uses translation symmetry as the primary foreground/ background separation cue.
Near Regular Texture -- Analysis, Synthesis and Manipulation - We are developing near regular texture synthesis algorithms for improved natural appearances.
Texture Replacement in Real Images - We are developing methods to replace some specified texture patterns in an image while preserving lighting effects, shadows and occlusions.
