Biography

Dr. Sam Kherat received his Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Bradley University, Peoria, Illinois (1987) and his Ph.D (1994) in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana.

Research interests

Dr. Sam Kherat manages Caterpillar's Pittsburgh Automation Center. Dr. Kherat's research relates to the automation of earth-moving machines and serves as Caterpillar's Autonomy promoter. Dr. Kherat has extensive background in autonomous excavation, mining systems, and specializes in robotics and control theory
